Message to the Membership
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I hope you all had a wonderful summer with your loved ones and are ready to begin a new year with the Steamfitters AAA. Our last meeting was in May at Pikes Pub in Southampton Pa and the turnout was incredible! At this meeting brother Jeff Pervis was presented with the Frank Kearney Lifetime Achievement Award for all of his hard work, dedication, and defining what bother-hood means in this organization. Congratulations to Jeff on receiving this awesome award.
I am proud to report to the membership that we have several upcoming events planned to get the year started, and attendance will be paramount to having a successful year with the Apprentice Alumni Association. I ask the membership to please mark your calendars for Saturday September 30th for our first AAA Cornhole tournament at City Distilling on 7600 State Rd. Philadelphia, Pa 19316. I would also like to mention that we have a paintball trip on October 28th at Skirmish Paintball 211 N Meckesville Rd. Albrightsville, Pa 18210 (transportation will be provided to this event see website for details).
The first AAA membership meeting will be October 13th at AOH Division 61 4131 Rhawn St. Philadelphia, Pa 19316. The doors will open at 7:30 pm and the meeting will be called to order at 8 pm. We will have guest speakers Bob Winther, and Jim Rocks to give the membership insight to the current benefits that we are eligible to receive, and the programs all of us should be taking advantage of to make sure that our own health, as well as our families health remain the number one priority in our lives. This meeting will be open to all members so please spread the word to make sure everyone has the opportunity to come out and hear all of the great information Jim and Bob have to share with the membership.
In closing, please try your best to make it out to these meetings/events as the Covid 19 pandemic has but a hold on many of these things in the past couple years, and we need your continued support to make up for all that was missed out on as a result. I would also like to mention that we will be selling 50/50 tickets at all regular Local 420 monthly membership meetings for everyone to participate in.
